The Everett Youth Hockey Booster Club's 2nd annual fundraiser dinner and auction is all set to take place Saturday February 4 in the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center. We are hoping to top last year’s inaugural event to reach our goal of $50,000. Last year we were able to raise nearly $30,000! We managed to do this with the help of never-tiring volunteers and generous donors.
Over the course of the next couple months our volunteers (parents, family, and players) will be donating extra time and energy to securing fabulous donations for our 2nd annual auction event. The EYHBC believes that children are our future, and we want to provide them with every opportunity possible to help them succeed and grow not just as athletes but people. Our annual auction is our attempt to help provide for the players and families of Everett Youth Hockey.
The Everett Youth Hockey Booster Club has booked a bigger room than last year to the tune of 2,000 more square feet in anticipation of higher attendance and ordered the same great catered food for our guests. Choose from Flat Iron Steak, Little Tuscany Mixed Grill or a vegetarian plate of Spinach Striped Cheese Ravioli. All dinners come with Parmesan Mashed Potatoes, Vegetables, Organic Sliced Artisan Breads and Whipped Garlic Herb Butter and of course the famous Arena Salad. Freshly Brewed Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Hot Tea and Iced Tea will be available. And what dessert will your table win to cap off this fine meal during the Dessert Dash!
We have many exciting things planned for this year's event including having the Everett Silvertip players in attendance as our guests for supper and will be mingling during the auction and seated amongst the dinner goers for the evening. Back again will be the opportunity to purchase a balloon that will give the winner first choice of nearly any item in the live auction prior to bidding. Or how about buying keys that will unlock a treasure chest of goodies, or maybe a key that goes to a SYM scooter and of course there will be Silvertip memorabilia and once in a lifetime Silvertip experiences in addition to fine wines and trips to locations such as Australia, Paris, Hawaii, Disney World and sporting events across the nation all including airfare.
This year we have increased the level of professionalism for our auction by retaining an auction firm to help us with the planning and operation of our auction. To help pay for the advising, auctioneering, and cashiering services at our auction, there will be a 10% Underwriting Support fee added to your purchases and donations at the auction. We hope you see this fee as just one more way of helping the Everett Youth Hockey Booster Club.
