Come enjoy an evening out to the benefit the kids…….and bring the kids too!
It’s that time of the year again when we all come together to raise money for the Everett Youth Hockey Booster Club (EYHBC). This year marks our third year and the event will be held on Saturday, February 9th 2013, at 5:00pm at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center located at the Comcast Arena.
Last year the 2nd annual EYHBC event raised over $17,000! One of the main uses for our funds we raise is to provide scholarships to those young players who otherwise could not afford to play the game. This past year we were able to pay fees for a total of 9 players. We also have worked diligently with the Silvertips to provide goalie camps at a deep discount to assist young goalies within EYH. There are many other, less recognized, items that we provide for EYH such as pucks for all of the teams and logo'd pucks for all EYH home games. Finally, this year we thought it would be best to help all of those valuable EYHBC members that make the EYHBC possible and opted to help them offset their total fees due by providing subsidies valued up to $125 per player. Please help us make this another great fund raising year so that we can continue to impact the overall player experience within EYH!
In the past we have called the event a dinner and auction with a sit down meal to go along with all the other spectacular events of the evening. But this year we thought, “Why should the parents be the ones having all of the fun?” So we have decided to call the evening the EYHBC Benefit and Social. The atmosphere will be family focused; the attire casual and we encourage everyone to bring their children along for a fun-filled evening. As always, there will be many items to win. Best of all, the Everett Silvertips players will be in attendance and we hear there may be a knee hockey challenge in the works!
Cost for Event Tickets:
$25 each for Adults
$15 each for 12 and Under
$60 for a Family of Four (Two Adults and Two 12 and Under)
Tickets will include an all you can eat hamburger, hotdog and pizza buffet, 5 drop box raffle tickets and a ticket to win the door prize. Soda and adult beverages will be available.

Dinner will be buffet style offering hamburgers, hotdogs and pizza along with chips and dip, lemonade, water, coffee and tea. Adult beverages and soda will be available for purchase.
The EYHBC has gotten special EYH jerseys that will be autographed by each team and available to be bid on in a silent auction format.
Drop Box Raffles
In an effort to save money on writing pens there will be less silent auctions and replaced with raffles for items like what you see at hockey tournaments. (Drop Box Raffles) Guests will be able to buy tickets, write their name on the tickets and drop the tickets into boxes in front of each item. There is no limit to how many tickets you can buy and there is no limit to how many tickets you can drop in a box! Cost for drop box tickets will be $20 for 25 tickets or 75 tickets for $50.
The Wine Frenzy, just like in years past, will have highly rated white and red wines that can be purchased at a set price to benefit the EYHBC
The Balloon Bonanza will be a table full of balloons anchored down by a roll of sock tape that are numbered. Each number will be on a list that corresponds to a prize of gift cards or a certificate to local businesses with a value of at least $40, there will be balloons that have gift cards you will receive with a value of $100! Each balloon will only cost $25. Every balloon purchased will be a winner. You will get a prize valued at a minimum of $40 plus a roll of sock tape!
There will be some very special items in the live auction. Most notably for EYH families will be team autographed EYH jerseys. Every team in every division will have a jersey that is autographed by the team up for bid.
Fund a Player
Every year The Everett Youth Hockey Booster Club helps families that may have a difficulty in paying the fees associated to playing ice hockey. By raising your paddle and donating to this part of the event you are helping those families. 100% of the money raised during The Fund a Player bidding goes directly into The EYHBC Hardship Scholarship Fund.

The kids are invited to this year’s event and what do kids love? Hamburgers, Hotdogs and Knee Hockey! This year there will be a knee hockey area set up so the kids can play some shinny to their hearts content. Maybe they can drag some Silvertip players into the mix!
